In the world of coastal conservation and advocacy, threats can appear out of nowhere or they can simmer for months and even years before becoming hot. Those who would do the coast harm often operate "under cover" because they know how much is at stake. We have eyes and ears everywhere and do our best to keep on top of the issues that matter. Here are many of the issues that threaten coastal wildlife, habitat, water supplies, and our ability to enjoy the coast, whether we are on the rural Delaware Bayshore or that urban oasis, Jamaica Bay. When things get critical, we'll call for your help through action alerts. Until then, we ask you to read about these hot issues and, if you learn of something we don't know about, tell us!
