Thanks to All for A Night of Holiday Cheer and Community Support at the NE Chapter Party!12/16/2025 We had a wonderful and lively time celebrating the season and reflecting on a year of accomplishments at the American Littoral Society Northeast Chapter's annual holiday party on Saturday, December 13! Thanks to those who came out for the event and all of you who stood and worked with us through the year. We want to send a special thank you to Cecilia Dean and David Selig for their incredible generosity in opening their beautiful home to us this year. The atmosphere was festive, warm, and the perfect setting for our community gathering. The 50 guests in attendance enjoyed a delicious meal from local Rockaway culinary wizard, Whit Aycock of the Blarney Castle, who treated us to fantastic pastas and a seasonal salad. For dessert, we were spoiled with lovely, carefully crafted brownies from Pastry Chef Tracy Obolsky of Rockaway Bakery. The space was made even more festive thanks to the selection of beautiful Poinsettias from our friends at Lisena Garden Center! We also extend appreciation to our supporters who made the auctions a great success! Bird Collective generously offered a wonderful selection of items for our Silent Auction, including a signature mug, a cozy blanket, and several patches—all of which were an absolute hit! Our infamous Ugly Auction once again proved to be a delightful surprise, featuring unique curios generously donated by our creative friends. We truly love seeing all the unexpected items you bring to the party each year! Finally, a massive round of applause goes to our very own Don Riepe, who entertained us with a lively and energetic Flamenco performance, joined by his highly talented musician and dancer friends. What a fantastic way to cap the evening! We are so incredibly grateful for all the support from the friends, supporters and members who helped make this party happen, and for supporting our work in New York year after year. We simply can't do it without you! Thank you, thank you, and we wish everyone a happy, healthy, and joyous holiday season. We can’t wait to see you on the coast in the New Year!
