Parents/Guardians are free
1:5 adult to student ratio recommended

Join the American Littoral Society for a day of coastal exploration and hands-on learning! Homeschool students ages 5 and up will have the opportunity to connect with other families while discovering Sandy Hook’s unique marine environment.

  • Seine Fishing – Pull a net and observe local marine life (wader provided)
  •  Seashell Scavenger Hunt – Hunt for shells and discover the creatures that once lived in them
  • Monarch Butterfly Lesson - Learn about the monarch butterflies long migration!

Meet at Lot C on Sandy Hook for the ultimate coastal experience! Check in begins at 9:45 am.

​ 🥪 Lunch Break: Bring your own lunch – we’ll have a 30-minute break around 11:30 AM.

🌊 Be prepared to get wet!  Dress for the weather and adventure.
