About Laurie

Picture
Laurie Bratone is the Director of Development and Membership and joined the staff of the American Littoral Society in November 2014. Laurie has over 20 years of non-profit development experience, including positions with the Monmouth County Historical Association, the Sandy Hook Foundation, the New York City Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the American Indian College Fund, and La Napoule Art Foundation. Laurie grew up on the Jersey Shore and is happy to be back working on Sandy Hook because of her love for the beach and the coast. She directs her energies to help further the mission of the Littoral Society by raising new awareness and funds for the organization.  Laurie graduated from Syracuse University with a BA degree and lives in Fair Haven, NJ with her husband Paul and three children, son James and twin daughters Julia and Sophia.

Hobbies

While not at the beach Laurie's favorite hobby is to draw and paint.  Her favorite medium is watercolor.  She makes paintings for pleasure but also as a way to support numerous local charities with art for invitations, printed programs, and awards or as gifts. She is active in the Fair Haven PTA to support efforts of her children's school district.
