Nicole Haines

About Nicole

Nicole Haines has grown up around the ocean her whole life. Whether it was guarding at the Jersey Shore or leading educational programs along a bay, she was always around the water. Nicole joined the Littoral Society as the Education Director in March of 2018. She works out of the Sandy Hook office coordinating programs within local schools, and teaching children from all around NJ about the coast.

Nicole attended Ramapo College and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies. While in school she was involved in the environmental club, worked as an educator for the Monmouth County Parks System, held an internship on the Delaware Bay dealing with invasive species and guarded the ocean at Island Beach State Park. Once graduated from college she worked for Partner Engineering and Science as an Environmental Scientist, but wanted to get back to her love of environmental education.

She hopes to expand the society’s educational programs and reach as many people as possible in the hopes that everyone will be more environmentally conscious and gain a willingness to protect our planet.
