About Samantha
Samantha is the Education Coordinator working out of the Society's Sandy Hook office. She spent the summer of 2024 working with the Littoral Society as an Education Intern, before returning to continue her work in environmental education.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and has a strong interest in wildlife research and science communication. Passionate about conservation, Samantha enjoys making science accessible and engaging for learners of all ages. In her new role, Samantha is developing engaging educational materials on coastal and marine ecological topics. She will lead hands-on outdoor education programs, such as seining and nature walks, which will immerse participants in the exploration and identification of local marine organisms, wildlife, and plants. During the school year, she will also teach SeaQuest, a program that connects middle school students to their local coastal environment through interactive lessons and labs. |
