Sandy Hook
Horseshoe Crab Walk

🌊Horseshoe Crab Walk
Saturday, June 14 | 6:30 – 8:00 PM
Meet at: B Lot Parking Area
Gateway National Recreation Area – Sandy Hook Unit
Highlands, NJ
Cost: $10 Members | $20 Non-Members

Join the American Littoral Society for an unforgettable evening walk at Sandy Hook to meet some of Earth’s oldest residents—horseshoe crabs! These living fossils have been crawling our shores for over 445 million years.

As the sun sets over the bay, we’ll stroll the shoreline and wade into the water to witness these fascinating creatures up close. You might even get the chance to hold one!

Please wear shoes that can get wet.

*** Please note that this is an informative eco walk, different from our horseshoe crab tagging experiences.
