We’ll explore different species, their unique traits, and where to spot them in their natural winter habitats. Learn how these animals adapt to the cold and pick up tips for identifying them. Dress warmly—hats, gloves, and layers are recommended. The walk will begin at the American Littoral Society headquarters, located at Officer’s Row in the Fort Hancock Section of Gateway National Recreation Area (GPS: 18 Hartshorne Drive, Highlands, NJ 07732), with caravanning to the best wildlife viewing spots.
