Join the American Littoral Society for a Fall Weekend in Cape May NJ, during the Raptor migration season.
We will spend the weekend enjoying easy hikes along a variety of habitats in the various scenic wildlife management areas on the Point. We will stay at the historic Cape May Point Science Center. The trip will be led by Littoral Society naturalists Alexandra Kanonik and Michelle Rebilas.
This weekend trip is a perfect getaway from the bustle of the City. Your registration will include: Two nights lodging at the Cape May Point Science Center, a welcome dinner on Friday night, guided hikes over the weekend, an excursion to look for whales and other marine life with Cape May Whale Watch, and a flat boat backwater marsh tour to explore the wildlife of the estuary. Don’t forget to pack your binoculars!
The Cape May Point Science center offers a shared kitchen area where we will provide you with light breakfast fare and coffee each morning, rooms are private, and bathrooms are private but shared across the wing of each section of the floors of the Center. Please note the Center will not have heat in the building this time of year so please check the weather and pack an extra blanket if you tend to get cold.
Shared van rental will be available for $150 from NY and NJ, please note we only have 6 spots. Those who register with transport included will be notified of pick-up time and meeting location details by e-mail after they register.
