About Lisa

Lisa was a paralegal when she she first became a Littoral Society member and volunteer and was unaware of the rich diversity of wildlife that existed in NYC.  Participating in the Society's field trips opened up a whole new world for her and she soon became an amateur naturalist.

When a position as a Restoration Project Coordinator opened up,  Lisa jumped at the chance to be a society employee. Lisa's main responsibilities are to facilitate the removal of marine debris and to conduct outreach about its negative impacts.
Lisa gives presentations to organizations, communities and school groups about marine debris and its effects on humans as well as local wildlife and the small ways in which people can make a difference in their own lives and the world.  These presentations can be combined with field trips or beach cleanups.
