About Lucia
Lucia joined the Society’s staff in May 2019 as Delaware Bayshore Conservation Coordinator and was promoted to Program Director in December 2020. She focuses on empowering citizens to protect the Delaware Bay and its tributaries by reducing stormwater runoff. Much of the work she does is centered around the Cohansey River and advocating for equitable access to a clean Delaware River Watershed. Lucia is the chair of the Society’s DEIJ committee, secretary to the South Jersey Bayshore Coalition and has a certification in Green Infrastructure from the Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional program.
Prior to joining the Society, Lucia managed the Watershed Education by Bike program in Camden, NJ. She also spent time volunteering in a reforestation program in Tamil Nadu, India and with multiple community gardens in Philadelphia. She currently lives in Egg Harbor Township, NJ with her partner and their two dogs. |
