About Lucia
Lucia joined the Society’s staff in May, 2019 as the Conservation Coordinator to the Delaware Bayshore team. She focuses on empowering citizens to protect the Delaware Bay and it’s tributaries by reducing stormwater runoff. Much of the work she does is centered around the Cohansey River.
Prior to joining the Society, Lucia managed the Watershed Education by Bike program in Camden, NJ. She also spent time volunteering in a reforestation program in Tamil Nadu, India and with multiple community gardens in Philadelphia. Lucia earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Stockton University in 2013. During this time, she also researched clean water access in Gugulethu, South Africa and studied land and water issues surrounding national parks across the Midwestern United States. She currently lives on a farm in Egg Harbor Twp., NJ with her partner and their two dogs. |
