About Ryan

Ryan has spent most of his life living along the Jersey Shore, filling free time with activities in and around the area’s ocean and rivers.  Whether surfing, fishing, or hiking, nature has always been an escape.

While attending Monmouth County's Marine Academy of Science & Technology (aka M.A.S.T.) on Sandy Hook, Ryan was able to dive into Oceanography and Marine Sciences and had the opportunity to crew on the school’s research vessel. These experiences sparked a passion for the ecosystems and organisms that call this place home. He now shares those experiences with his son and hopes to pass on a love of nature.

Ryan comes to the Littoral Society with a background in Media and Advertising, having graduated Rutgers University with a B.A. in Journalism. He also double minored in Environmental Policy and Public Policy.

His last 10 years were spent working at media and technology companies in New Jersey and New York City.  He is honored to join the Littoral Society and be a part of caring for our coast.
