About Shane

Shane Godshall serves as Habitat Restoration Program Director for the American Littoral Society and is a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner (CERP) through the Society for Ecological Restoration.

In his role as Restoration Director, Shane leads the Society’s Restoration Department, overseeing habitat restoration projects across New Jersey. He provides strategic direction for restoration initiatives, guides project development and delivery, supervises program staff, supports funding strategy and proposal development, and helps strengthen community and public engagement.

Prior to this role, Shane served for more than 10 years as the Delaware Bayshore Habitat Restoration Project Manager. During that time, he coordinated restoration activities throughout the region, including beach and marsh restoration, breakwater and oyster reef construction, riparian buffer projects, and the Society’s Delaware Bay horseshoe crab tagging program.

Shane lives in Woodstown, New Jersey, with his wife, Andrea, and their three children.
