About Toni RoseHaving lived in North Jersey her whole life, Toni Rose always wanted to pursue a profession that would get her closer to the coast and experience more of New Jersey’s environment and wildlife.
She graduated from Rutgers University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Marine Science and a minor in Fishery Science. After graduating, she started working for New Logic Marine Science Camp, using a hands-on-feet-wet approach to environmental education for kids K-8th grade. She then worked as a Fisheries Technician for NJ Fish & Wildlife, where she assisted with various surveys and data reporting for the commercial fishing sector. She also interned for the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, where she rescued, rehabilitated, and released visiting seals during their winter migrations. Moving further down the coast with her experience has brought her to the American Littoral Society’s Delaware Bayshore office as the Habitat Restoration Technician. She spends her time supporting restoration projects and engaging/inspiring the public to be environmental stewards, especially through the successful horseshoe crab tagging program. She is looking forward to her endeavors with the Society and making waves! |
