Osyter Wrangler Communication

Task/Event Coordination
Google Calendar
Please check the calendar ^ for shell pick-up schedules, festivals, and other information.

To sign up for a task or event, please contact Serena. Text, email, & phone calls are all ok. (732) 708-5472 or
Serena@littoralsociety.org.

Restaurant contacts highly prefer having the same volunteer picking up their shells each time, but if the regular person will be unavailable at any time, they will need someone to fill in for them.

Get in touch with other team members directly

We will use GroupMe for team communication. Serena will add volunteers to the group.

Record Shell Data
Click here for the shell collection Google Form
Click the button for the Google Form ^ and answer the questions listed when picking up shell. This form will also guide you on completing pick-up. We can provide paper forms as an alternative, if needed.

Please always weigh your buckets before emptying them into the trash bins. There will be a scale at each drop-off location.

Bring shell to our Rumson Community Drop-Off at the Rumson Municipal Boat Ramp (9 Ave of Two Rivers, Rumson, NJ 07760). This is currently our only public drop-off site, but we aim to have more available once possible.

Alternatively, shell can be brought to Sandy Hook's North Maintenance yard where there will be a step-on scale available (in a green bin). Just let them know at the park kiosk that you are volunteering with the Littoral Society in Building 18 and they should let you in.
