Working for the Society

When the society has openings, full-time, part-time and internship, they are always posted on this website, Conservation Job Board, and Idealist.

Current Job Openings

Coastal Education Program Internship
There are two openings for Coastal Education Program Internships at the Littoral Society. The two interns will assist the Education Director in leading programs for k-12 students and the public. They will work outside doing activities such as seining, beach clean-ups, horseshoe crab discussions, presentations and work on curriculum alongside the Education Director. Learn more and apply online.
Marine Fish Tagging Program Internship
We are seeking an energetic, dedicated, and detail-oriented individual. Current undergraduate college students with marine science, ecology, environmental science or similar background may apply. A working knowledge of the life history and ecology of local marine fish species is desirable, but not necessary. The internship will require the use of personal vehicle and laptop. Learn more and apply online.
R Corps
Each summer, the American Littoral Society activates our Restoration Corps program in Jamaica Bay, NY and Delaware Bay, NJ. Also known as R-Corps, this youth employment and education initiative seeks to provide training, education, and job skills for the next generation of environmental stewards. The program is specifically designed to engage young people in meaningful environmental projects. Learn more and apply online.
