End of Summer Party Will be a Treat for Beer Enthusiasts

This year's Sandy Hook End of Summer Party should be a tasty extravaganza for beer enthusiasts and oyster lovers, thanks to Ross Brewing Company of Red Bank, NJ. Ross will be bringing five beers to the party on Friday, September 8, including two made specifically for the American Littoral Society.

Beer fans won't want to miss this opportunity to try the brews that will be on tap at the event. But there are plenty of other attractions for those with different tastes, including a breath-taking view, live music and dancing, cocktail and wine bars, a special auction, and loads of gourmet food from The Lusty Lobster, The Whistling Onion, Salt Creek Grill, and Bahr's Landing.

Buy your tickets now. The 2017 End of Summer Party will be held at the North Beach Pavilion of Gateway National Recreation Area's Sandy Hook Unit from 6:30 - 11 p.m.

For beer enthusiasts, here's a rundown of the beers being poured:

Navesink IPA
Style: American Double IPA
7.1% ABV, 60 IBUs
Our flagship beer is made with eight varieties of hops, fermented with Ruby Red grapefruit, and then double dry-hopped to perfection. Notes of citrus, peach, and even mango are all present in this tart, fresh, juicy hop bomb!

Shrewsbury Lager
Style: American Amber Lager
5.1% ABV, 23 IBUs
Our second flagship beer is a crisp, refreshing, balanced, crushable lager that hits the sweet spot between maltiness and hoppiness without being either bitter or sweet. Perfect for enjoying at the beach, on a boat, a deck, or just about anywhere!

Oystout
Style: Oyster Stout
5.2% ABV, 31 IBUs
Our first beer made specially for the American Littoral Society's Operation Oyster. Each keg is made with four pounds of real oysters and the creamy stout with the perfect mouthfeel is the best possible accompaniment to some fresh oysters of your own. And proceeds from sale of this beer will be donated to the American Littoral Society to assist in the restoration of local oyster beds.

Goyster
Style: Oyster Gose
4.9% ABV, 10 IBUs
Our second beer made specially for the American Littoral Society's Operation Oyster. Each keg is made with three pounds of real oysters and the result is a fresh, sour, salty beer that you'll want to drink again and again. And proceeds from sale of this beer will be donated to the American Littoral Society to help fund restoration of oyster beds in the Navesink and Shrewsbury rivers.

Manasquan Wit
Style: Belgian Witbier
5.2% ABV, 16 IBUs
This "white beer" is made with wheat and Belgian brewers yeast, and fermented with coriander and orange zest for a completely refreshing take on a summer beer! A crowd pleaser for sure, everyone loves this beer!

Tickets are still available for the 2017 Sandy Hook End of Summer Party. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Sandy Hook Foundation and the American Littoral Society. Get your tickets today. Click here to purchase.
