We are thrilled to welcome Rumson native Anna Nowell as our Development Intern for summer 2022! Anna will be supporting the overall fundraising efforts of the American Littoral Society. She will be helping us reach out to local businesses, coordinate campaigns, research foundations and corporations, and share our mission with the community. Here's what she shared with us: "Living in Rumson, New Jersey my whole life, I have developed a unique appreciation for the beach and all the creatures that inhabit the land and waters, and protecting marine life on the coast has always been important to me. Hence, I am thrilled to be working as a Development Intern this summer. I am currently entering my junior year at the University of Richmond and pursuing my BS in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Sociology. My fundraising experience, active participation in my community, and organizational and communication skills will be of great benefit to me in this position.
Because the shore has given me so much to be thankful for, I am honored to be working towards protecting the shore, in hopes that future generations will be able to enjoy all the natural beauties of the coast as I have been able to. I am eager to learn more about non-profit fundraising, and professional development and communication, while working for a mission that I am passionate about. In my free time I enjoy going to the beach and looking for sea glass, walking with my parents, reading a war or romance book, listening to music with my friends, making jewelry, and painting! Hopefully my love for the shore and my creativity will shine through!" Comments are closed.
